Happy 3rd Birthday Ella!
She had a GREAT day!
It started at breakfast: yogurt with sprinkles, cinnamon toast with sprinkles, and chocolate milk for breakfast. Nothing like sprinkles to make the simplest things festive. :) At school, she shared some cake batter rice crispy treats (courtesy of Pinterest) and got a book from Ralph the Dog during Chapel. She was so excited that she got to hug him too! Her teachers said that she did a WONDERFUL job. In music class, she even told the teacher that she'd like all her friends to go first. So proud of her! After school, we picked her up and came home for a couple of presents. Then did an early dinner at Chuck E Cheese. She loved getting to run around and play games. Then we headed to Pinkitzel for cupcakes before coming home to play with her new toys some more.
Today she had her 3 year check up and is doing great as expected. She is 35 lbs (86%) and was 37.5 in tall (56%). She's not round, just solid (as the doctor put it). Ella did a great job talking with the doctor and loved getting her check up.
It's only day 2 of having a 3 year old, but so far so good. I was a bit worried when I heard that 3 year olds are harder than 2 year olds. Luckily, we've gotten along great and I'm hoping that trend continues for many years to come. :)
