My First "Conversation" With Ella

Ella: (she sees the bananas on the counter) Ananas
Me: You want a banana?
Ella: (shakes her head yes)
Me: What do you say?
Ella: Eeeease
Me: Go to the table
Ella: (Walks over to the table and waits for me to put her in her chair)

The end.

After this "conversation" took place, reality hit. She isn't a baby. I know I've said that before, but she's really a toddler. A toddler that can talk to me. A toddler that can express what she needs and wants. Trust me, it's not always this easy to figure out what she's wanting, but we're making progress!

The joys of communication! Don't you love it for the ease of understanding, yet hate it because of the maturity it implies?!? :) It's tough to see them get all growed up, but joyful to watch them make each progressive step! Enjoy, because those conversations will start being the norm rather than the rarity before you even know it!
