Sneak Peek at 16 Weeks & 5 Days
Today we had another doctor's appointment and it was very exciting! This was the day that we were told we might be able to get a sneak peek of whether we were going to be having a girl or boy... so Matt and I were very anxious for this appointment. Once we got into our room, my nurse pulled out the doppler to get a heartbeat and was unable to hear anything within the first couple of minutes. She decided that since we were going to try to take a peek at the little one, she'd go ahead and do an ultrasound to check the heartbeat. As soon as she turned on the u/s machine, our little one waved at us! It was absolutely amazing to see how much our baby had grown! Last time we had an ultrasound it looked like a little bean, now this time it looked just like a little baby. We saw the heartbeat and everything was just fine, and the baby was in PERFECT position to see if it was a he or a she... so our nurse had Matt check in the hallway to see our doctor was close by to go ahead and look. Our doctor came in and seemed to be a little worried that she was getting called in because of something bad happening, but she quickly learned that there was nothing wrong at all. She checked the ultrasound and was able to tell us with a 99% guess that we are having a little GIRL! She said she couldn't say 100% because of how far along we are, but as she walked out she definitely made it clear that we will be having a girl in just a matter of months. We are just thrilled and can't believe that we were actually able to find out today! Our next appointment is our big ultrasound on Oct. 15 and this will again check the gender as well as make sure our little one is growing the way she should be. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

YAY! Congratulations on the baby girl!!!
Wonderful news!! Get ready to be wrapped around her little finger!
Oh my goodness!! That is so exciting! I'm barely pregnant and I can't stand not knowing the sex. I'm going to have a sonogram around 16 weeks as well and praying that they will be able to tell me then. I'm having so much fun reading about your pregnancy and getting ready for what to expect with mine!
