Mattie turned 2!

Our little monkey turned 2 years old over the weekend!

At her check up this morning, she weighed 30.5 pounds (86%) and was 34.25 inches tall (63%) and is doing great overall according to her doctor.

Mattie is wearing size 2T/3T clothes. Size 6 shoe.

She tries to undress herself at all hours of the day (including when she should be sleeping) and doesn't want to wear a diaper anymore. Unfortunately, she seems to be afraid of the potty at the moment.

She hates waiting and being told no.

Mattie LOVES being a little mommy to her many baby dolls. She likes to wipe them, change their diapers, wrap them in blankets, and rock them.

If she asks for something and we say no, her immediate response is to say "ease!" (please)

Dress up shoes and glasses are a must have accessory for this girl.

As soon as we get in the car and start driving, she takes off her socks, her shoes, and lets down her hair. Apparently, she wants to be comfortable.

She still loves turtles and Nemo.

We catch her singing often. Her most popular song lately has been 'Twinkle Twinkle.'

Her favorite Princess is "Punzel." (Rapunzel)

She doesn't like to eat the peel of things. This includes cucumbers, apples, pears, and (as I type this) grapes. She will eat the insides and discard the rest.

Mattie is definitely still a mommy's girl. She wants me to hold her constantly and will throw a fit for me to put her to bed at night. Dropping her off for school and Bible class go as you can imagine. She loves her classes once I'm out of sight though!

She loves to help. If she sees somebody's phone sitting alone, she'll pick it up and take it to them. If she sees a friend's cup on the floor, she'll pick it up and take it to them. She does this with everything.

She has learned the art of whining.

She loves to get the mail. And loves it even more when there is mail in the box for her (aka. junk mail).

Mattie loves to give hugs and kisses. She cares if somebody is upset and tries to make them feel better by patting their back.

She LOVES looking at pictures.

If she can make you laugh, she'll try harder to keep you laughing. She is a hoot!

We love this little girl from the tips of her toes, to the top of her head. She makes us smile every day and gives great cuddles. She loves her sister, and her sister loves her. We are very blessed and thankful for our little monkey!
