22 Months

Mattie is only 2 months away from turning 2!

She is quickly turning into a little girl with quite a personality of her own. Like most kids this age, she doesn't like to be told "no." She can throw a fit with the best of them, but it's so much easier to walk away and ignore them when it's my second kid. :) Hopefully, she'll learn quickly that these meltdowns don't get her anything good.

Mattie is wearing size 24 month clothing, size 5 diaper, and size 5 shoe.

She loves going to school and talks about "class" and "Ralph" often. (Ralph is a dog hand puppet that visits the kids during their daily chapel time.) My favorite thing lately is that she has started to sing and act out songs from school and Bible class. Oftentimes she'll pump her fist in the air and shout "amen!" or act out the "grow, grow, grow" part of a song. And if we start to sing a song, she'll either jump right in and do some motions, or tell us to "shhh...."

Mattie still loves baby dolls. The one that she favors most is from Ella's first birthday. Luckily big sister is kind enough to share and is very generous to let Mattie sleep with her every night.

Mattie's favorite animal right now is a turtle. She's always loved the movie "Finding Nemo" and I found her a movie on Netflix a few weeks back called "A Turtle's Tale." Oh my, she asks to watch it frequently and loves to look for "Toodles." We have a giant stuffed turtle in our playroom that she'll bring to the living room with her to cuddle up and watch the movie.

We love her big, bright smile. The way that she loves to make people laugh and how much she loves her hugs & cuddles. Mattie is frequently told by Ella that she's her "best friend" and I love how close they are!
